As I told you. We were gonna raise the roof…and raise it we did!
April’s Jam was the best—a good turnout of musicians and spectators. We began with a few medium standards and worked our way up to a few bossas. The night was warm, but through all of the jazzy tunes, we created a thunderstorm outside. Of course, it didn’t affect the lovely sounds being generated inside the Mt. Airy Art Garage. There was a personal Happy Birthday sung by our guest organ player. Then he went on to sing “AT LAST” to the birthday girl. Our guests that night included. a bass player, a flotist, an alto player and of course Rich on tenor and Tank on drums. It was definitely our best session to date.
We want to see more of our G-town, Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill musicians and jazz lovers come out to enjoy our way of loving what we do. On how to entertain you.
Every 2nd Wednesday of the month. This month it’s May 8, from 6:30 till close to 10. Make it a date. We’re always glad to see an old or a new face.
