New for 2015! Monthly Drawing Workshop Plus Websites For Artists Class
3rd Sunday of every month from 2-5 pm. Next class is Sunday, Feb. 15.
Come draw at MAAG while learning from a Master…Robert Finch. Learn to draw using multiple mediums, i.e. pencil, charcoal, crayon and pastels. Any medium can be used to express just how you feel. There are no rules to drawing — no right or wrong way — only your way. The purpose of this workshop is for you to become familiar with the traditions of good drawing. We believe that anyone can draw, with one major proviso — you have to really want to. You can learn when you let go of your inhibitions. There is no end to the possibilities. This workshop will consist of both still life setups and posing the human figure. The medium is open, however, we believe the student should choose one that they are most comfortable with.
Open to all levels. Adults and young adults age 16+. $40 per session. RSVP required.
Attend one class or as many as you want. One thing for sure, we believe Robert will inspire your creativity!

A website is a crucial part of an artist’s portfolio nowadays. Creating and maintaining a website is easier than ever. You do not need to learn coding or hire a web designer in order to design a fabulous-looking site. In this workshop, we will review some of the choices available in the marketplace (including WordPress). By the end of both sessions, you will have created a basic website that can grow with you as your needs change.

April (or “Dr. April”) has been tweaking templates for over a decade, ever since embarking on her post-doctoral life as an operatic soloist and founder of the Maria Antonia Project, her opera company whose mission is to bring works by women out of the archives and onto the stage. On hiatus from opera, she currently writes and performs autobiographical, whimsical poetry with and as her alter ego, Madison Hatta, Sonneteer. Having to act as her own marketing team, she learned how to distinguish a JPEG from a TIFF and a pixel from a pretzel, picking up some HTML & CSS along the way. Her website can be found at www.aprillynnjames.com.
