About MAAG
The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG) is a labor of creativity and collective spirit—one where artists of multiple disciplines come together to share, teach, display, and generate income. In April 2010 we became a 501(c)3 nonprofit under the umbrella of the Mount Airy Community Services Corporation (MACSC).
MAAG has found a permanent home at 11 West Mt. Airy Avenue in the heart of the Mt. Airy business district. We intend to provide opportunities for both emerging and professional artists in Northwest Philadelphia (Germantown, Mt. Airy, and Chestnut Hill) to create, exhibit, and distribute their fine art and handcrafts.

MAAG is a labor of creativity and collective spirit
Our goals are:
- To provide studio space to emerging and professional artists where collaboration can result in even greater artistic interaction.
- To create a permanent gallery highlighting the work of member artists.
- To establish an ongoing Fine Art and Handcraft Market that showcases the diversity of this unique section of Philadelphia.
- To educate and teach workshops to both adults and youth in our communities.
MAAG can provide artistic training, build critical thinking skills, and offer avenues for a lifetime of learning. Other arts organizations exist throughout Philadelphia, but nothing of this kind exists in the Northwest. Our experience so far has confirmed that MAAG is at the right place at the right time.
