Call For Artists: MAAG Rocks Art! 2021


An Arts Festival in Mt. Airy

Saturday, September 18, 2021 11 AM – 5 PM

The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG) is holding an open call for artists to submit to “MAAG Rocks Art!”, a one-day Arts Festival in Mt. Airy on Germantown Avenue between Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Sedgwick Street on Saturday, September 18, 2021 (Rain Date: Sunday, September 19).

MAAG is excited to celebrate the community coming back together after a year of isolation! We’re breaking out of our homes and returning with a large celebration of the arts. This is an opportunity for creative, emerging, and seasoned artists to exhibit and sell their work in downtown Mt. Airy. All artistic mediums will be considered. This event will be free to the public and feature artists and crafters, food vendors, and live music. Artists will get a 10’ x 10’ outdoor space along Germantown Avenue to display their work.

Artists are encouraged to submit their work for this opportunity! Booths will be $50 for MAAG members and $75 for non-members, which includes a $10 non-refundable Jurying Fee. Please note there will be no electricity provided for this event and artists may not sell, or give away, any food items.


To apply, fill out the form below with the following (All items can be sent via snail mail as well):

  • MAAG’s Submission Form (or the online application)
  • Up to 3 JPGs images (300 dpi) of the type of work you plan to sell. Be advised that submitted images may be used by MAAG for advertising and marketing if the work is accepted.
  • Entry Fee ($50/members, $75/non-members) which can be sent via PayPal
  • Artist Bio – A one-paragraph description about the artist

All emails should have the subject line: “MAAG Rocks Art Submission – [Artists Name]”.

Due Dates:

Application Deadline: Sunday, July 31st, 11:59 PM (Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday, Aug. 4)

Arts Festival: Saturday, September 18, 11 AM –5 PM. Delivery/Setup is 9–11 AM, take down is 5–7 PM

All artists are encouraged to promote their work in this show and postcards, digital flyer, and promotional links will be available for distribution.

MAAG assumes no liability for any damage that may occur during the festival.
