Member Artists Show

July 21 – August 23, 2024

We’re celebrating the artists of MAAG with our Member Artists Show, happening July 21 – August 23, 2024, in the Gallery@MAAG, 7054 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19119. This annual show honors MAAG members and celebrates the range and diversity of the Philadelphia area’s creative community.

The art show is exclusively for current MAAG members, who are invited to submit work that reflects their recent creative endeavors. Artists who wish to be in the show may join or renew a membership at this time. As a perk to our members, the show will not be juried; and there is no fee. However, we still require that a submission form, JPG image of artwork, and an artist statement/bio be provided by Wednesday, July 10.

MAAG serves as an incubator for professional and emerging artists who work in creative partnerships with local adults and youth to spread the spirit of art, community, and sustainable living throughout Northwest Philadelphia.

All age groups are welcome, and all skill levels, whether professional or emerging, are accepted. Artists may submit one (1) work of art that was created during the past two years. All mediums are accepted, including handcrafts and fine art, 2- and 3-dimensional art. All 2-dimensional art must be ready-to-hang. Artwork improperly presented and/or found unfit to hang may not be exhibited.

Submission Guidelines

MAAG welcomes all artists, from emerging to professional. We also strive for excellence and professionalism in presenting artwork; therefore, all work must be professionally presented and properly finished.

  • The show is non-juried, and there is no fee. Only one (1) piece may be submitted.
  • The artwork must be original, done by the artist, and created within the past two years. Work previously exhibited at MAAG will not be eligible.
  • All styles and mediums are welcome, including handcrafts and fine art.
  • Artists of all ages and all skill levels, from professional to novice, are welcome.
  • All two-dimensional media must be ready-to-hang. Artwork improperly presented and/or found unfit to hang may not be exhibited.
  • Artists who are submitting 3-D artwork may need to provide their own pedestal.
  • Artists wishing to submit art that exceeds 4 ft. wide or 4 ft. high will need to contact MAAG at exhibits@mtairyartgarage.org.
  • All work must be for sale. All sales are processed by the MAAG Gift Shop, and the commission on work sold during the show is 35%.
  • It is recommended that the artist be present for the art reception.
  • MAAG does have insurance on exhibited works, which covers the costs of the materials only. All work is insured only for the duration of the show. Any pieces not picked up after the due dates are not insured.

  • MAAG’s Submission Form (download here)
  • JPG image (300 dpi) of your work. Be advised that submitted images may be used by MAAG for advertising and marketing if the work is accepted.
  • Artist Statement/Bio describing the work submitted and a paragraph about the artist.

Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: Wednesday, July 10, 11:59 PM
  • Artwork Delivery Dates: Friday-Sunday, July 12-14 (Fri-Sat: noon-6 PM, Sun: noon-5 PM)
  • Opening Reception: Friday, July 26, 5-7 PM
  • Artist Pick-Up: Saturday-Sunday, August 24-25 (Sat: noon-6 PM, Sun: noon-5 PM)

MAAG assumes no liability for any damage that may occur during the exhibit and is not responsible for any artwork left past the pickup date.
