Juneteenth 2025
We’re collaborating with DiasporaDNA Story Center and Mural Arts Philadelphia on Juneteenth Art’ventures – a vibrant day of cultural connection and artistic exploration that will dive into the rich tapestry of Juneteenth through art, history, and togetherness.
Join us for a free, multi-media screenprinting workshop led by artist Justin Keller, and explore how printmaking has been vital to creating political posters and spreading important messages. We’ll discuss what the Declaration of Independence might say if it were written today, and participants will make original posters to express their ideas!
Thursday, June 19, 2025; 12-2 PM
Registration Required. Ages 16 and up. No prior printing experience necessary.
This program is part of Mural Arts’ Printmaking by the People, a city-wide project that will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration. Come join us and have a chance for your work to serve as inspiration for an upcoming mural to be shown in an exhibition at the Free Library!
