Michael Spear is the songwriter, singer, and guitarist, accompanied by Ed Kramer on banjo, mandolin, guitar, dobro, bouzouki, and fiddle. Co-winner of Godfrey Daniels best of open mic competition 2016. Michael was introduced to folk music in college, learning how to play guitar on a used Yamaha classical guitar, the best sixty dollars he ever spent. Now playing Martin and Guild steel string guitars, Michael’s repertoire is a mix of ballads, blues, and political songs that transcend the limitations of so-called short shelf songs. Over two thousand songs. “Yeah, I wrote that one.” For this event, Michael and Ed will be joined by Ingelora Parks.
