MAAG Rocks Art! Call for Artists
An Arts Festival in Mt. Airy

The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG) is holding an open call for artists to submit to MAAG Rocks Art!, a one-day Arts Festival in Mt. Airy on Germantown Avenue between Mt. Pleasant and Sedgwick Avenues on Saturday, September 14, 2024 (Rain Date: Sunday, Sept. 15).
MAAG is excited to announce our 5th MAAG Rocks Art! Arts Festival in Mt. Airy! This is an opportunity for creative, emerging, and seasoned artists to exhibit and sell their work in downtown Mt. Airy. All artistic mediums will be considered. This event will be free to the public, and it will feature food vendors and live music. Artists will get 10’ x 10’ spaces to display their work.
Artists are encouraged to submit their work for this opportunity! Booths will be $60 for MAAG members and $75 for non-members, which includes a $10 non-refundable Jurying Fee.
Please note there will be no electricity provided for this event, and artists may not sell or give away any food or beverage items.
All artists are encouraged to promote their work in this show. Postcards, digital flyers, and promotional links will be available for distribution.

Submission Guidelines
MAAG welcomes all artists, from emerging to professional. We also strive for excellence and professionalism in presenting artwork; therefore, all work must be professionally presented and properly finished.
- All works of art/craft must be original, done by the artist.
- All works of art/craft must reflect the type of work submitted in your application. No add-ons.
- All works of art/craft must remain on display for the duration of the Art Festival, and all artists must remain with their work.
- Artists must bring their own tents, tables, chairs, displays, supports, etc., whatever is needed for their presentation. No electricity is available.
- Artists may not sell, or give away, any food items.
- To be considered, artists must provide all of the following: Submission form, payment, artist bio, & images.
- If work is not accepted, the table fee will be refunded (less the $10 jurying fee).

- Up to 3 JPG images (300 dpi) of your work. Be advised that submitted images may be used by MAAG for advertising and marketing if the work is accepted.
- Entry Fee: $60/MAAG members, $75/non-members, which can be sent via PayPal, snail mail or hand delivered.
- Artist Statement/Bio describing the work submitted and a paragraph about the artist.
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: Saturday, August 31, 11:59 PM
- Notice of Acceptance around September 4-5
- Festival: Saturday, September 14, 11 AM – 5 PM (Rain Date: Sunday, Sept. 15)
- Set-up: 9-11 AM
- Take Down: 5-7 PM
MAAG assumes no liability for any damage that may occur during the festival.
