CALL FOR ARTISTS

Drawing from Live Models 2025

July 3-27

Throughout the ages, the human figure has been a source of artistic inspiration. The body’s complex shapes and movements offer many options for creative expression; and the resulting artwork has ranged in style from highly detailed and realistic to loose and abstract.

The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG) is holding an open call for artists to submit artwork for this year’s “Drawing from Live Models” exhibition. This is a juried exhibition held in partnership with MAAG’s Figure Drawing Group. We invite artists from across the Philadelphia region, whether enrolled in figure drawing classes or participating in a figure drawing group, to submit artwork that conveys their unique vision when inspired by the human form drawn from a live model.

Drawings in a variety of mediums, styles, and execution will be accepted. Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces of art to be on display and for sale in this exhibition. All work must be framed and ready to hang. The exhibition runs July 3-27, 2025 in MAAG’s Gallery at 7054 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19119.
