Mother Nature has produced beautiful floral tapestries throughout our history. With the Philadelphia Flower Show and upcoming Earth Day, Mt. Airy Art Garage is highlighting the natural beauty and potential harm our society is experiencing in the coming years. As Artists, we see and create what Mother Nature has inspired us to produce.
The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG) is holding an open call for artists to submit artwork for the exhibition, “Flower Show.” This is a juried exhibition and we invite member artists and artists associated with other art centers in the Philadelphia region. Whether you’re MAAG members or have never joined a club, MAAG invites you to submit artwork that conveys your unique vision when inspired by Mother Nature.
p>Artwork in a variety of mediums, styles, and execution will be accepted. Artists may submit up to two (2) pieces of art to be on display and for sale in this upcoming exhibition. All work must be framed and ready to hang.

Submission Guidelines
MAAG welcomes all artists, from emerging to professional. We also strive for excellence and professionalism in presenting artwork; therefore, all work must be professionally presented and properly finished.
- All works of art must reflect the theme of the show and be the work that was submitted to the jury.
- All works of art must be original, done by the artist, and ready to properly present — framed with wire hangers.
- Each artist can submit up to 2 pieces of art.
- Artwork is not to exceed 4 ft. wide nor 4 ft. high.
- All work must be for sale. All sales are processed by the MAAG Gift Shop, and the commission on work sold during the show is 35%. Sold artwork must remain in the gallery till closing date.
- It is recommended that artists be present at the art reception.
- MAAG does have insurance on exhibited works, which covers the costs of the materials only. All work is insured only for the duration of the show. Any pieces not picked up after the due dates are not insured.

- Up to 2 JPG images (300 dpi) of your work. Be advised that submitted images may be used by MAAG for advertising and marketing if the work is accepted.
- Entry Fee per piece submitted: $20/MAAG members, $25/non-members, which can be sent via PayPal, snail mail or hand delivered.
- Artist Statement/Bio describing the work submitted and a paragraph about the artist.
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: Thursday, March 5, 11:59 PM
- Notice of Acceptance sent on or near Friday, March 6
- Artwork Delivery Dates: March 7-8 (Fri-Sat: noon-6 PM, Sun: noon-5 PM)
- Opening Reception: Saturday, March 14, 2-4 PM
- Artist Pick-Up: April 4-5 (Sat: noon-6 PM, Sun: noon-5 PM)
MAAG assumes no liability for any damage that may occur during the exhibit and is not responsible for any artwork left past the pickup date.
