Rohlfs creates her art utilizing acrylics, fabric, photography and found objects. Her early work was influenced by quilting. Her art is inspired by her interest in the environment, peace, human rights and earth-based spirituality. Her work has been exhibited in group shows in upstate New York; New York City; and Philadelphia. Gloria Rohlfs has lived in Iowa; Munich, Germany; New York City and the Catskill Mountains.
