I am currently exploring relationships of non-representational texture, color, and forms in the two-dimensional world of the flat surface. I work in a non-structured way; starting with a simple idea and developing it by responding to the unfolding image. I paint layer upon layer allowing elements of previous layers to peek through creating a sense of mystery of what lies below. Although I am a young painter my images are informed by a visual sensitivity developed over a lifetime as a photographer.
